The Copper Center Lodge had its beginnings as the Holeman Hotel during the Gold Rush days of 1897-1898. It was the first lodging place in the Copper River Valley.

Construction of the current building was completed in 1932. George and Katherine Ashby purchased the lodge in 1948. Copper Center Lodge has been family owned and operated since that time.
Fine Dining at the Copper Center Lodge

Kim, Tom and Peter Huddleston currently own the Lodge. Tom and Peter are the grandsons of George and Katherine Ashby. In honor of Kathy they decided to name the dining room Nummy’s, a nickname given to her by her grandchildren.
